Descripción general

The seminar will introduce to some of the latest research lines of the Business Engineering team of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. The seminar will describe how firms can assess their main intellectual capital assets, and how scholars can help them to make the best choices in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. Subsequently, the characteristics open innovation paradigm will be discussed, along with the reasons for its increasing popularity among firms and scholars, and its effect on innovation performance. Special attention will be paid to the effect of the interaction between universities and firms. Finally, the two theories, intellectual capital and open innovation, will be compared in order to emphasize the strong connection existing among them.
During the seminar, many quantitative and qualitative research methods will be briefly described. Thus, Ph.D. students and young researchers are encouraged to bring their own researches related to the topic of the seminar in order to discuss the challenges and opportunities they are facing, and to identify space for collaborations.
